My paintings are a combination of watercolor and handmade, richly textured papers that I make myself. This combination allows me to express all aspects of my subjects. I am drawn to bold, dramatic shapes and colors and I love the color intensity that the layering of papers and paint provides. Both the creation as well as the finished piece becomes a tactile experience as well as a visual one.
